STAGE ONE
CUTTING THE COVER TO SIZE
- TOOLS NEEDED: Sharp knife/blade, hard cutting surface, straight cutting edge (optional) e.g. rule/credit card etc.
STEP 1
Align your suppressor and the cover side by side to mark the length desired at the most suitable ‘NOTCHES’ on the cover.
STEP 2
Line a straight edge/long sharp knife across the ‘NOTCHES’ you’ve marked on the cover.
STEP 3
Cut through the cover by carefully pushing down on the cover firmly with a long sharp knife alongside the straight edge. Use a guillotine motion to make a clean cut. (The straight edge is optional).
- NOTE: Scissors do not make a clean cut.
STAGE TWO
APPLYING THE COVER TO SUPPRESSOR
WARNING!! ‘DETACH’ your suppressor from the ‘FIREARM’ before applying the cover to your suppressor!!
- LUBRICANT EXAMPLES: Cooking oils, silicone can spray, baby oil, hand sanitizer, dishwashing liquid, soapy water etc.
STEP 1
Find any type of ‘LUBRICANT’ available to you and apply/spread a generous amount to the outside surface of your suppressor & pour/spread inside the cover itself.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The more you need to stretch the cover to fit over the diameter of your suppressor, the more lubrication you’ll need to use on the suppressor and cover to assist with sliding the cover on.
STEP 2
Stretch and slide the logo end of the cover towards the front end of your suppressor until fitted approximately 2-3mm back from the front of the suppressor.
EXTRA TIPS
If your suppressor has groves and cross grips engraved on the outside surface, wrap a thin layer of electrical tape around the engraved area before lubricating to slide the cover on. This will allow the cover to glide on with ease.
